The firm was started in 1990. Kathy Scott's
background consists of more than 20 years of small business accounting,
management, tax planning and preparation.
Small Businesses
Our work with small businesses consist of
assisting the small business owner with general accounting, compliance
with information regulations, tax planning and preparation, and
consulting services. We serve as the accounting team for our small
business clients. Our client base consists of small corporations,
partnerships, limited liability companies, sole proprietors, and
others. We have clients in retail, professional services, construction,
manufacturing, distribution, service and other types of business.
It is our goal to help our clients produce the best management, financial
and tax information possible in an efficient and cost effective manner. We
understand that management cannot make effective decisions without timely
information and we also understand that the accounting and record keeping
cannot be "the tail that wags the dog."
It is our goal to assist our clients with
improving efficiency, internal controls and available information,
increasing collections and reducing expenses. We encourage planning
and preventing problems as opposed to fighting fires and recovering
from disasters and adversity. However, if a problem develops, we
are available to help with timely solutions and/or action.
Individuals
Our work with individuals consist primarily
of tax preparation and planning. Our clients have small businesses,
rental property, farms, capital gains, and major life changes.
Major life changes that often require the
help of a CPA include, relocation, loss of a parent, divorce, change
of job, adoption of a child, and others.
Individuals that have recently relocated
from out of state may have special tax problems as well as those
that may work in multiple states.
